Mel Gross

Mel Gross is a Graduate Landscape Designer at LJA Engineering since May 2024, with responsibilities that include concept and schematic design, CAD drafting, basic renderings, and construction document drafting, as well as collaboration with project team members. Prior experience includes a Product Development Internship at Esri from May to August 2023, and internships at Design Workshop from January to June 2023 and PlaceWorks from May 2021 to August 2022. Mel also worked as a Fabricator at the Smithsonian Institution in February and March 2020, and at Open Works Baltimore from January 2019 to February 2020, where roles included Fabricator and Digital Fabrication Studio Technician. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Sculpture from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
