Sir Charles Roxburgh KCB is the Chair of Lloyd's, the world’s leading marketplace for risk, a role they began in 2025. They also serve as a non-executive director at Shell and a non-executive board member of Herbert Smith Freehills. Previously, Charles was the Non-Executive Chairman of Legal & General America until March 2025 and held several senior positions at HM Treasury, including Second Permanent Secretary. They spent 26 years at McKinsey & Company, culminating in senior partner roles and leadership positions in the global strategy and financial institutions practices. Charles was appointed Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath (KCB) in the 2022 Birthday Honours for services to Government.
