Luc Erard

Scientific advisor

Luc Erard is a senior consultant who has significantly contributed to the field of metrology over a career spanning 39 years. They served as the first R&D director of LNE, managing France's metrology network and coordinating national metrological activity programs until retiring in July 2010. Prior to that, Luc was the Director of the Bureau national de metrology from 2001 to 2004. They have been actively involved in European metrology projects, holding esteemed positions such as President of the Consultative Committee for Time and Frequency since 2007 and have participated in numerous initiatives to enhance scientific and quality infrastructure across Europe. Luc completed a master's thesis in electrical engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder and holds an engineer's degree from Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité.
