George Christakeas has extensive work experience in the field of software development and project management. George is currently working as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Light & Wonder - iGaming since 2022. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at Athens Stock Exchange starting from 2007, where they held the position of Head of Information Dissemination Systems Development Department. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining and developing trading and financial data dissemination systems. Greece from 2001 to 2004, focusing on trading and financial data dissemination systems and web banking systems.
Further back in their career, they worked as a Software Developer at CivilTech from 1999 to 2001, at V & K ENGINEERING RESEARCH & SERVICES from 1996 to 1999, at SoftLine from 1994 to 1996, and at Active from 1991 to 1993.
George's earliest work experience in the field dates back to their time as a part-time Software Developer at the Technical University of Sofia, Faculty of Computer Systems and Control from 1985 to 1991. In this role, they were involved in software integration and the development of a conference voting system.
George Christakeas earned a Master's degree in "Compilers and Translators" and "Production Technology" from the Technical University of Sofia. George attended the university from 1984 to 1991, studying in the Faculty of Computer Systems and Control.
