Michael Knutson has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Michael began their career as a Bank Teller at KeyBank in 2007 and later worked as a Substitute Teacher at Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District from 2012 to 2013. Michael then transitioned to the field of fisheries, working as a Fisheries Technician at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game from 2012 to 2017, and subsequently as a Fisheries Biologist from 2017 to 2022.

In 2022, Michael gained experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Divvy, where they wrote customer-facing production code using various technologies such as Javascript, React, React Native, Elixir, and GraphQL.
