Ryan Nickell

Ryan Nickell began their work experience as a SuperKaramba Maintainer at KDE in November 2004, where they maintained and developed features for the SuperKaramba KDE desktop widget application. Ryan was responsible for application releases and integration into the KDE project. In November 2003, they joined Kentrox as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed enterprise software for use in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on distributed network management systems. At CareWorks Technologies, they worked as a Java Developer (Software Specialist I) at Nationwide from October 2011 to April 2012. From April 2012 to August 2013, they worked as a Software Developer at VenueSeen. In September 2013, they joined Westell as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the technical lead on ExtJS 3 to 4 migration and conversion to front-end MVC architecture. Ryan also worked on full-stack development for multiple management applications with a focus on user experience. From July 2015 to August 2015, they briefly worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Olive before becoming the Team Captain (Engineering Manager), a role they held until January 2023. Recently, in January 2023, they joined LoanStreet Inc. as a Staff Engineer.

Ryan Nickell obtained their Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering Technologies from DeVry University between the years 2000 and 2003.
