Sean Doherty

Sean Doherty has over 17 years of experience in the technology industry. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Co-Founder and Instructor at Project Shift, an elite fellowship program for software development. During this time, they trained and personally mentored 90+ new software developers from diverse backgrounds and developed 1000's of hours of project based learning content. From 2006 to 2021, Doherty held various roles at CrossComm, including Chief Technology Officer, Chief Software Architect, Lead Developer, Senior Software Engineer, and Java Software Developer. During their time at CrossComm, they managed all software development activities, led mentorship and developer growth programs, and mentored senior development leadership. From 2021 to 2023, Doherty was the Chief Technology Officer at Litterati, where they used technology to encourage data-driven change to the world's litter problem. Sean also led and managed product development, software engineering, and machine learning/data teams. Currently, Doherty is the Chief Technology Officer at LoanWell, where they are working to bring equity and access to capital for all.

Sean Doherty achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Spanish, and International Studies from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2005, having started their studies there in 2001. Sean then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 2006.
