John Bauer

John Bauer is a designer with extensive experience in various roles across multiple companies. Currently a Designer at Local Language since July 2019, John has also served as a Fabrication Designer at Riveropolis since 2015, where responsibilities include redesign, prototyping, and testing of an interactive play environment. Previously, John held positions as a Product Designer at MyGreenCar and Tradecraft, and as a Production Manager and Designer at Hero Design LLC, leading projects such as the Everbright light installation. John’s earlier roles include designer and fabricator positions at olollo, inc. and Novo Arts, Inc., as well as designing custom green roof gardens at Atoms Eco Design. From 2007 to 2009, John coordinated development and studio efforts at Sculpture Space, assisting international artists. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature and Sociology from Hofstra University and has studied Sustainable Design at multiple institutions including Pratt Institute and UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design.
