Alex Ryzer

Alex Ryzer's work experience includes founding and co-founding multiple startups, as well as gaining experience in business incubators and franchise ownership.

Alex co-founded Jobby in 2022, an organization that aims to improve the hiring process for companies.

In 2019, Alex co-founded LocalStudent, a platform that connects students to on-demand job opportunities. Alex also participated in the NEXT 36 2022 Cohort, with their startup Jobby being part of the program.

Alex's work with startups continued in 2021, where they co-founded Student Helpers and TapTalk, a conversation platform.

In 2020, they co-founded Challenge 52, an online platform that offers weekly challenges.

Prior to their startup ventures, Alex gained experience as the founder of LocalStudent, which was incubated in the DMZ, Canada's top university business incubator.

Alex also has experience as a franchise owner with College Pro, where they developed leadership skills and a strong work ethic.

Before their involvement in startups and franchises, Alex gained entrepreneurial experience by owning a small lawn mowing business during high school.

Throughout their various work experiences, Alex has acquired skills in business development, marketing strategy, and leadership.

Alex Ryzer attended Ryerson University from 2016 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship & Strategy. In addition to their formal education, Alex also acquired various certifications. In May 2019, they completed a course on Negotiation Skills from LinkedIn, and in August 2022, they obtained a certification on How to Create a Perfect Elevator Pitch, also from LinkedIn.
