Simon Wallner

Simon Wallner has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Simon is currently working at LocalStack as a Product Lead. Prior to that, they took a parental leave in 2022. From 2015 to 2022, they were the Co-founder and CEO of Lost in the Garden GmbH, an independent game development company. Simon also worked as a Software Developer & 3D Graphics Expert at NXRT from 2020 to 2021. Simon has held positions as an External Lecturer at Fachhochschule Technikum Wien from 2017 to 2021 and at Fachhochschule St Pölten from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, they co-founded and served as the Deputy Director of the Central European Games Conference from 2014 to 2016. Simon was also involved in founding and supporting the Games Austria, Association for the Advancement of Game Development in Austria, and the IGDA Vienna Chapter. Simon was a co-organizer of the Austria Game Jam from 2011 to 2016.

Simon Wallner earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Technische Universität Wien in the years 2006-2010. Simon then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science, specializing in Visual Computing, from Vienna University of Technology from 2010-2015.
