LocalX Community

In June of 2017, Anna McAfee decided she wanted to meet her LinkedIn connections offline and used the #LinkedInLocal in her post. Peaking other people's interest, #LinkedInLocal went global to 4 global communities in its first month, and quickly fanned a flame that set the world alight. Over 2 years the community grew from initial 4 cities to 1,000+ communities, in 1,000 cities and 100 countries run by LinkedIn users for LinkedIn users. It was an organic grass-roots movement centered around the values of: Authenticity, Inclusivity, Collaboration and Respect. After working on this not-for-profit initiative for two years, LocalX was founded to share the methodology and experiences to help businesses build and grow local chapter-based communities.
