Mathieu Margollé has a diverse work experience in the field of geospatial information science and engineering. Mathieu started their career in 2011 as an Engineering Technician in the Geodetic and Leveling Department at IGN, where they developed and maintained a program for handling GNSS data files. Mathieu then joined the Permanent GNSS Network Unit, where they redesigned the GNSS data files processing chain and improved the handling of RINEX files.
In 2018, Mathieu worked as an Engineer Intern at the Shibasaki & Sekimoto Lab at the University of Tokyo, where they developed denoising and map-matching techniques for processing GPS probe data. Mathieu continued their internship in 2019, focusing on the development of a 3D indoor map and pedestrian network of Tokyo Station.
Later in 2019, Mathieu worked as a Software Engineer at the National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information (IGN), specifically in the LiDAR and Image Unit. In this role, they were responsible for designing processing chains for photogrammetry and lasergrammetry.
Most recently, Mathieu joined LocationMind in 2020 as a Software & Data Engineer. LocationMind provides end-to-end services to customers in various fields by analyzing location information big data using AI. Based on the technology developed at the Shibasaki Laboratory of the University of Tokyo, Mathieu contributes to the social implementation of location information analysis.
Throughout their career, Mathieu has demonstrated expertise in geospatial data processing, software development, and AI analysis, making him a valuable asset in the field of geospatial information science.
Mathieu Margollé earned a 2-year Technical Degree in Land Surveying in the field of Geomatics from Ecole nationale des Sciences géographiques in 2009-2011. Mathieu then pursued further education at the same institution, earning a Master's Degree in Engineering with a specialization in Geomatics from 2016 to 2019. In 2015, Mathieu attended the Genki Japanese and Culture School - YMCA Fukuoka in Japan, where they completed an Intensive Course in Japanese Studies.
