Smail Barkouch

Smail Barkouch is a Computer Science Fellow at ColorStack since May 2024 and serves as a Founding Software Engineer at Lockbook, a note-taking startup focused on developing an end-to-end encrypted platform. With full-stack experience, Smail plays a lead role in engineering at Lockbook. Previous experience includes a Software Engineer Intern position at Rutgers University's Learning Center, where Smail maintained and improved the website, as well as working as a Barista and Food Service Associate at Bucket & Bay Craft Gelato Co. Educated at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, Smail is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, having completed high school with a diploma in the same field from Dr. Ronald McNair High School.
