Aaron Engel

Aaron Engel is a compound semiconductor researcher currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Lockheed Martin, focusing on device design and process development for novel infrared focal plane array technologies. Previously, Aaron held roles as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Barbara, where they earned a PhD in Materials, and as a Building Manager at the Goergen Athletic Center. Throughout their academic and professional journey, Aaron gained experience in various research assistant positions and internship roles, contributing to advancements in materials science and semiconductor technology. Aaron completed a dual degree with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Rochester.
