Brian Van Lear

Brian Van Lear is an Aeronautical Senior Staff Engineer and currently serves as a University Lecturer at Baylor School of Engineering & Computer Science. They have extensive experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), alongside a robust background in aerodynamics, thermal dynamics, and propulsion systems. Brian has taught for over five years at the University of Texas, Arlington, and the University of St. Thomas, sharing their expertise in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Prior to their current role, they worked at Lockheed Martin, where they specialized in aerodynamic analysis for shipboard and aircraft systems. Brian earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, further establishing their strong academic foundation in the field.
