Dave Hidinger is currently a LM Fellow at Lockheed Martin, where they lead the High Power Microwave Technologies group, focusing on RF Directed Energy systems and applications. Previously, they held various roles at Lockheed Martin, including Research Engineering Senior Manager and Senior Program Manager for the RF Directed Energy group. Hidinger served in the United States Air Force from 1986 to 2006 as a Scientist, Nuclear Engineer, and Program Manager, working on nuclear weapon effects and strategic missile systems. They also were the Chief Operating Officer and Principal Program Manager at National Energetics from 2016 to 2018, overseeing company operations and leading significant projects. Hidinger earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology.
