Dave Schappert

Dave Schappert is a retired Captain of the Fast Attack Submarine and Submarine Squadron with over 30 years of experience as an undersea warrior, specializing in nuclear propulsion and the Intelligence Community. Currently, they serve as a Business Development Principal at Lockheed Martin, contributing to national security. From 2019 to 2022, they held the position of Director of Operations and Fleet Liaison for the US Navy, showcasing their leadership and mentorship skills. Previous roles include Commanding Officer of USS HOUSTON and Commodore for Commander Submarine Squadron 15, where they were responsible for the readiness and training of numerous crews. Dave holds a Master’s Degree in Military History, Leadership, and International Relations from the US Army Command & General Staff College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
