David Welsh

David Welsh is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in systems engineering and security roles. At Ball Aerospace, David served in various capacities, including Systems Engineer I and Senior Systems Engineer, and gained early experience as an intern. David's military career included service as a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy, complemented by roles as a security contractor and mobile security officer at GreyFox Industries and SOC LLC, respectively. Currently, David works as a Senior Professional Staff - Scientific Applications Engineer at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and as a Staff Machine Learning Research Engineer at Lockheed Martin. David's academic achievements include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master's degree in Applied Physics from Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, expected in 2024.
