Ian Beringer

Ian Beringer is a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where responsibilities include serving as the technical authority for the Mk21A Reentry Vehicle, overseeing its design, development, testing, and qualification. Ian has cultivated collaborative relationships with stakeholders from the Air Force and Department of Energy, ensuring compliance with system requirements. Previously, Ian held various engineering positions at Northrop Grumman, specializing in hypersonic propulsion systems and solid rocket motor design, along with experience at US Army RDECOM in mechanical and materials engineering, contributing to academic publications. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Delaware and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at Purdue University.
