James Hawthorne

James Hawthorne is a Staff Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they lead an engineering team supporting flight simulation hardware and software for the AFSOC-ACTS program. With over 35 years of experience in embedded software engineering, they have specialized in the design and development of advanced systems for nuclear, conventional, and directed energy weapon systems. Previously, James contributed to state-of-the-art flight simulation systems for the U.S. Air Force and engaged in the development of critical tracking and control systems aboard the YAL-1 Airborne Laser aircraft. They hold a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Theology and Electronics Engineering Technology from Pillsbury Baptist.
