Jim Whitney

Jim Whitney is a seasoned systems architect and senior staff member at Lockheed Martin, bringing over 15 years of experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams in the design and development of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) and related technologies. Previously, they served as a mechanical engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they played pivotal roles in various UUV projects, including the Orca Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle. Jim also worked as a mechanical engineer at SeaRobotics Corp and was a graduate research assistant at Florida Atlantic University, where they were involved in foundational research in ocean engineering. They hold both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University.
