Marcella Yant

Marcella Yant is a Deep Space Planetary Senior Research Scientist at Lockheed Martin, where they focus on planetary research. Yant earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Geological and Earth Sciences from Stony Brook University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. Their research interests include geochemistry and infrared spectroscopy, particularly related to the Martian surface, and they have contributed to the Project ESPRESSO initiative within the Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute. Prior to their current role, Yant held teaching assistant positions at Stony Brook University and conducted undergraduate research at Indiana University Bloomington.
