Richard Bates

Richard Bates is currently a Program Manager at Lockheed Martin, where they lead a team focused on architecture and requirements for a large software system. They previously held various project and program management roles at Raytheon Technologies, culminating in a management position. Prior to this, Bates spent a decade as a linguist with the US Navy and the National Security Agency, contributing to key missions. They are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and are set to complete a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Cornell University.
