Sergey Malinchik is a Principal Research Scientist/Engineer at Lockheed Martin since August 2006, where Sergey leads the DARPA SMISC program focused on detecting persuasion campaigns on social media using SAX-VSM technology. Previously, Sergey held positions as a Senior Scientist at NuTech Solutions, where Sergey developed agent-based modeling for network security, and at Icosystem, leading a virtual drug design program. Sergey also contributed as a Senior Scientist/Developer at BiosGroup, studying co-adaptive complex systems, and served as a Senior Software Engineer at the Harvard-Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, where Sergey designed software for the Chandra X-ray space telescope. Sergey holds a Ph.D. in Physics with a thesis in Biophysics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, completed between 1984 and 1987.
