Stephen Frick

LM Space Advanced Technology Center Senior Principal

Stephen Frick is currently a Senior Principal at the LM Space Advanced Technology Center at Lockheed Martin. They served as an F/A-18 Pilot and Test Pilot in the US Navy from 1986 to 1996. They then became an Astronaut with NASA, where they held various roles including Space Shuttle Commander for the STS-122 mission and Chief of Safety for the NASA Astronaut Office. Prior to their current position, Stephen worked as the Deputy and Director of Hypersonics and Advanced Materials at Lockheed Martin Space from 2015 to 2022. They hold a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.
