Swapnil Patel

Swapnil Patel is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace industry, currently serving as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company since May 2009. In this role, Swapnil has been instrumental as a CPE delegate and design engineer for critical mechanisms on the Orion program, contributing to design activities, test coordination, and special tooling design. Prior experience includes a senior mechanical engineer position at ULA, where Swapnil designed payload interface structures for Atlas V launch vehicles and played a key role in multiple missions, including the WGS SV1. Earlier career highlights feature significant contributions to the International Space Station and Space Shuttle projects at Lockheed Martin Space Operations, demonstrating a strong commitment to customer-focused design and rapid problem resolution.
