Thomas vander Wal

Thomas Vander Wal is a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where experience includes roles as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Data Engineer in Space IT since November 2018. Prior to this, Thomas worked at Great-West Financial as a Software Developer focused on ETL and data warehousing from April 2018 to November 2018, contributing to the development of data pipelines and serving as a data guild leader for a special project. Experience also includes a position at NISC as a Software Specialist - Utility Conversion Programmer from December 2013 to March 2018, responsible for new member data implementations and merging existing customer processes. At Basin Electric Power Cooperative, Thomas served as a Business Intelligence Analyst Intern, where responsibilities involved developing BI reports using IBM Cognos, and as a Help Desk Specialist Intern providing internal computer support. Thomas holds a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona and degrees in Computer Information Systems and Information Technology Management from the University of Mary.
