Timothy Cahill

SVP, Global Business Development at Lockheed Martin

Tim Cahill currently serves as senior vice president of Global Business Development at Lockheed Martin Corporation. In this role, Mr. Cahill is focused on bringing integrated solutions to customers who rely on Lockheed Martin's capabilities and technologies to support their missions and address their most pressing needs. His responsibilities also include establishing comprehensive strategies across the enterprise that will enable future growth.

Prior to assuming his new role, Mr. Cahill served as senior vice president for Lockheed Martin International, and before that, vice president, Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Systems for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. In this capacity, he managed several significant programs, including Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), Patriot PAC-3 Missile, Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS), and numerous other emerging IAMD technologies.

Before joining Missiles and Fire Control, Mr. Cahill worked in Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, where he held various senior leadership positions. He served as Vice President of Engineering and Technology and, more recently as, Vice President and General Manager of Strategic and Missile Defense Systems, where he was responsible for over 4,000 employees in the US, UK, and Marshall Islands. While at Space Systems Company, Mr. Cahill oversaw various critical US military efforts, including the US Navy’s Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile program as well as the US Air Force’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile program.

Mr. Cahill joined Lockheed Martin in 1995, following a distinguished career as an officer in the US Air Force, where he managed the integration and launch of twenty military, NASA and classified spacecraft on Space Shuttle, Titan and Atlas launch vehicles. He holds a patent for a modular spacecraft bus design.

Mr. Cahill holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and a Masters in Business from Stanford University. He has also completed the Executive Program Manager’s Course at the Defense Systems Management College at Ft. Belvoir, VA.
