Vernecia Johnson

Vernecia Johnson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in talent management and diversity initiatives. Currently serving as the Director of Talent & Organizational Capability at Lockheed Martin since May 2018, Vernecia leads the development of integrated talent strategies and contributes to culture transformation efforts. Previously, Vernecia held the position of Director of Diversity and Inclusion for Aeronautics, where responsibilities included executing corporate diversity strategies and embedding inclusive practices. Vernecia also has a background as a Human Resources Director, providing leadership in recruitment and performance management within the Air Mobility and Maritime Missions Line of Business. Earlier career experience includes coordinating tutoring services at the University of North from February 2001 to June 2004. Vernecia holds a Master of Science in Counseling-Business & Industry/Human Resources from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Elizabeth City State University.
