Alina Sheikh has six years of work experience, beginning in 2019. In 2019, they worked as a Multimedia Developer at Bottom-Line Performance (formerly known as Bottom-Line Performance before its acquisition by Tier1 Performance in September 2019). In this role, they worked with experienced graphic artists, programmers, technical writers, instructional designers, and project managers to develop client projects and innovative learning solutions, using Agile methodology. Alina also designed full mockups and graphics for eLearning courses, websites, apps, print materials, and marketing presentations. In 2020, they worked as a 3D Innovations Lab Intern at Indiana University Health, where they developed and applied uses for 3D printing and digital technologies in healthcare. Alina also worked with scanning and anatomical modeling, medical/assistive devices and prosthesis, educational and training tools, and more. In 2021, they worked as a Biology Lab Teaching Assistant at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where they helped students learn how to use equipment such as microscopes, micropipettes, centrifuges, and more. Alina also answered questions and offered assistance in the laboratory, and created a Canvas page with tips and resources for incoming students. In 2021, they also worked as a Unity Developer at the University of Arizona - College of Humanities, where they contributed to the development of the prototype in Unity and built upon the work of the previous student group. Alina also added content and atmospheric elements to the prototype, such as lighting, sound, assets, etc., and presented the prototype with team members for the client, instructors, and peers with the use of a live VR demonstration. In 2022, they worked as an Application Developer at DB Services, where they wrote Apex classes to handle backend functionality. Alina also worked as a Software Engineer at Lockstep, where they designed, built, and maintained efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code with an emphasis on API development. Alina also created new endpoints and corresponding unit tests and built upon existing endpoints, and worked on connectors to ERP systems.
Alina Sheikh attended Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Media Arts and Science.
