Bart Van Remortele

Bart Van Remortele has extensive work experience in the field of technology and software development. Bart'smost recent role was as the CTO & Co-founder of Loc.tax, where they played a key role in developing a collaborative tax governance platform for global in-house tax teams. Prior to this, they owned findamaker.io and served as an advisory board member and later as the Co-founder & CTO of Ludimos - Cricket Coaching Platform. In 2014, Bart founded Tribeforce, where they managed a remote development team and led the design and implementation of various software solutions. Bart also worked as a Full-stack Developer at Sket.io and OneUp.Company, contributing to client projects and implementing new features. Bart's experience includes working as an Application Architect at Tessa and a Java Developer at Cipal Schaubroeck, where they implemented various software products. Bart also worked as a Freelancer at Van Remortele ICT, undertaking projects such as building a document lifecycle management application and a gaming platform for evaluating children with learning disabilities. Earlier in their career, Bart worked as a Java Software Engineer at De Clercq Solutions, where they refactored the core Java and XML framework for warehouse management and manufacturing software.

Bart Van Remortele started their education journey in 1998 with a focus on Handel. Bart completed their primary education in this field in 2002. Following that, from 2002 to 2005, they pursued a degree in Kantoor. In 2005, Bart specialized in Kantooradministratie en gegevensbeheer (specialisatiejaar) during their studies. Bart continued their education from 2006 to 2008 as a Systeem Analist – Programmeur. In 2008, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Informatica (Software engineering) / Hogere opleiding Software engineer from Graduaat Informatica, where they studied for four years. In 2011, Bart further expanded their knowledge by attending courses in Android development. Moreover, they explored the field of Grafisch Vormgever in the same year.
