John Koonce

John Koonce is a seasoned real estate professional with extensive experience in managing commercial leasing and sales. As the Managing Broker at LODEN Development since May 2025, John oversees firm operations. Prior to this, John served as the Sr. Vice President and Broker-in-Charge at York Properties from October 2007 to June 2025, managing the commercial leasing and sales division. John's earlier career includes a role as Director of Retail Services at Wakefield Associates, where oversight included leasing and sales for over 4 million square feet of retail developments, and as an Associate at Hunter and Associates, where John expanded a third-party leasing portfolio from 20 to over 60 shopping centers. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and US History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with education completed at Woodberry Forest School.
