Markus Wernitznig has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Markus started their career as a 3D Design Assistant at CÉLINE in 2012. Markus then worked as a Design Assistant at Tom Ford in 2013 before becoming an Assistant to the Head of Design at BALENCIAGA later that year. In 2015, Markus worked as a Trainee, assisting Tailoring and Denim Designers, along with being a Freelance Designer for Leather and Fur at Alexander McQueen. Markus then joined Richard Quinn Ltd as the Womenswear Designer RTW - Head of Studio from 2016 to 2018, where they played a crucial role in translating Richard Quinn's creative vision into designs and managing a team.
Afterward, Markus moved to SIMO as the Head of Design & Creative, where they revamped the Womenswear and Accessories business, handling RTW, Leather, Fur, Shoes, and Bags. Markus then worked as a Womens RTW Design Consultant - Freelance at FENTY from 2019 to 2020 and Courrèges from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Design Pre-Collection at Loewe, starting in 2020.
Markus Wernitznig holds a Master's Degree in MA Fashion - Womenswear from Central Saint Martins, which was earned between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion (Womenswear) from the same institution between 2012 and 2015.
