Michael Travis

Michael Travis has extensive work experience in the field of IT, spanning over several years. Michael started their career as an I.T. Operator at Sun Microsystems, where they gained experience in maintaining infrastructure and supporting users. Michael later joined Findus Group as an I.T. Operator, where they focused on improving system reliability and automating monitoring processes. After that, they worked at CSC as a Unix Technical Support Engineer, providing support and working on cloud-based enterprise installations. Michael then joined Press Association as a Systems Administrator, responsible for maintaining a diverse infrastructure and supporting media delivery systems. Michael later became a DevOps Technician at Press Association, involved in provisioning, installation, and configuration of hardware and software systems. Most recently, they have joined Sky Betting & Gaming as an Automation Engineer. Their role at Sky Betting & Gaming involves automation and engineering work. Currently, Michael is working as a Principal Engineer at Logically.

Michael Travis graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2006 with a degree in BSc (Hons) European Computing. Prior to that, they attended Bar Business and Enterprise College (Sixth Form) from 2000 to 2002, where they studied I.T, French, and German. From 1995 to 2000, they attended Toll Bar Business and Enterprise College for their secondary education. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained ITIL V3 Foundation Certification from BCS in 2013, the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6) from Red Hat Inc. in 2012, and obtained SC Security Clearance from UK Security Vetting in September 2012.
