Skylar Tibbits has an extensive work experience, beginning in 2005 with a role as Designer for SKIII SpaceVariations. In 2006, they were an Intern Architect for Zaha Hadid Architects, and also founded SJET LLC, a multifaceted design practice. In 2007, they were a Designer for Asymptote Architecture, and in 2008 they were a Designer for Point b Design. In 2010, they became an Associate Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and in 2013 they became Co-Director of the Self-Assembly Lab. In 2015, they were Editor in Chief of the 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Journal, and Co-Founder of LogicInk. Finally, in 2018 they became Co-Founder of RLP Rapid Liquid Print.
Skylar Tibbits received a MS: Design+Computation and a MS: Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2008 and 2010. Prior to that, they attended Philadelphia University from 2003 to 2008, studying Architecture.
