London Hydro receives electricity mostly from the provincial high-voltage transmission grid (augmented with local generation) and distributes such electrical energy at distribution and utilization voltages throughout the City of London, Ontario.

London Hydro is responsible for the design, construction, and ongoing operation and maintenance of such distribution and utilization facilities.
