Derek MacBeth

Derek MacBeth is an experienced Information Technology Security Consultant at Long View Systems since October 2019, specializing in the security posture of National Critical Infrastructure organizations and advising support groups on best practices. Previous roles include Security Operations Center Analyst II, where Derek contributed to the development of a Threat and Vulnerability Management service, and Systems Consultant, managing infrastructure for a small security operations center. Earlier experience includes IT Infrastructure Analyst at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Wintel Administrator IV and Level II/III Support Specialist at General Dynamics Canada, and Network Administrator at Trimox Energy. Derek holds an Information Technology Professional Diploma from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
