Andy Phelps

Andy Phelps has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Andy co-founded Longevity Consulting in 2003, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer, overseeing IT strategy, security, management, and implementation. Andy then joined the University of Virginia in 2019 as the Sr. Director of Information Technology, responsible for providing tools and infrastructure for researchers, faculty, and staff. Prior to that, they worked at S&P Global as a Manager of Web Operations in 2018 and at Silverchair as the Director of Technical Operations from 2015 to 2018. Andy also managed data center operations at the University of Virginia from 2013 to 2015. Earlier in their career, Andy served as the Principal Systems Architect at Contact Solutions and the Manager of Corporate Information Systems at Resource Consultants. Andy started their career as a Lead Systems Engineer at MicroStrategy/Strategy.com.

Andy Phelps has a diverse educational background. Andy pursued European Economics, Political Science, and Socio-Economic History at the University of Antwerp. Furthermore, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Operations Management at Radford University.

In addition to their formal education, Andy Phelps has obtained several certifications. Andy acquired the certification titled "Communicating with Emotional Intelligence" from LinkedIn in March 2022. Furthermore, they completed the course "Grow to Greatness: Smart Growth for Private Businesses, Part I" on Coursera in March 2013.
