Jacob Klein

Jacob Klein has a diverse work experience in various roles. Jacob started their career as an ITS Help Desk Technician at Colorado State University-Pueblo in 2015. Jacob then worked as a Maintenance Technician at Elizabeth Park & Recreation for a few months before joining Northwestern Mutual as a College Intern Analyst in the Client Retention Department. In this role, they focused on identifying and locating clients whose policies were about to lapse and connecting them with in-house agents.

In 2018, Jacob worked as a Coaching Assistant at MAPS before joining HDR in 2019 as a Geographic Information System Intern. At HDR, they were involved in multiple projects, including updating GIS data for Marine Reserve Sites, creating site plots for the Defense Logistics Agency, and plotting easements for the Sacramento Municipal Utilities District.

In 2020, Jacob joined ENTRUST Solutions Group as a Senior Geographic Information Systems Technician. In this role, they conducted modeling and analysis using Synergi and helped develop a population analysis tool for utilities. Jacob also worked as a Data Analyst at ENTRUST, where they developed a machine learning solution for identifying at-risk mechanical tees and an image classification workflow for detecting pervious and impervious surfaces.

Currently, Jacob is working at LongPath Technologies, Inc. as a GIS Developer & Data Analyst. Their responsibilities include creating custom Arcpy tools and geoprocessing workflows and leading the migration from QGIS to ESRI products for proposal creation.

Jacob Klein has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geospatial Information Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver, though the specific years of attendance are not provided.
