Love lasts 3 years according to the book of a famous communicator who became a writer. Three years is also the average lifetime of a microwave, a water cooker or a #smartphone... This is due to #PlannedObsolescence or #OrganizedObsolescence. Obsolescence has environmental #impacts as a result of increased premature #waste, increasing and constant pressure on #resources, but also at the social level with the disappearance of #repair jobs and an impact on the portfolios of households forced to replace their equipment more often.

To fight against all forms of #obsolescence and help consumers identify quality products #DesignedToLast, we have created the LONGTIME® label. Our #label, which goes far beyond #EU regulation, national legislation or any other corporate initiative is based on 3 pillars: Robust #Design, #Repairability, and Service and Warranties. LONGTIME® helps guide the #consumer through the shelves and highlights the efforts of manufacturers who design long-lasting products. The LONGTIME® label is awarded after an #independent third-party control body has audited the 41 criteria at the manufacturer's premises.
