Dr. Marcus Abboud is the Managing Partner at Loocid LLC, a medical and dental innovation company dedicated to improving implant dentistry. Dr. Abboud began their academic career at the University of Bonn, where they earned a PhD in Prosthodontics in 2000 and later completed an Oral Surgery Certificate Program in 2007. They served as an Assistant Professor and Interdisciplinary Clinical Study Director at the University of Bonn before becoming the Founding Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics and Digital Technology at Stony Brook University from 2011 to 2016. Dr. Abboud also held the position of Full Professor and Associate Dean for Digital Dentistry at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry from 2016 to 2019, and has authored over 60 publications in the field.
