Established in 2023, the Stensholm Foundation emerged from a deeply personal journey marked by resilience and compassion. Leon Stensholm, a former elite athlete and natural bodybuilder turned mental health advocate, founded our organisation with a clear vision in mind. His journey towards this endeavour was guided by a heartbreaking loss – the suicide of his best friend and brother, Dean. This tragedy ignited Leon’s unwavering commitment to supporting individuals battling their inner demons, particularly the younger generation burdened by generational trauma.

As part of our vision, Leon believed in creating a centre for young people that held special meaning for them. After consulting with these young individuals, we proudly named the centre and organisation ‘Lookout 07.’ Our mission is grounded in providing a safe and accessible haven for the young people of the Sunshine Coast who grapple with mental health concerns. Leon’s vision has come to life through the Stensholm Foundation, where his dedication to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable youth takes centre stage.
