Bill Willcox

Bill Willcox has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Bill is currently working as a Principal Security Intelligence Engineer at Lookout. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Veo Robotics, Inc. from May 2020 to July 2021.

From 2013 to 2020, Bill worked at Edge Gravity by Ericsson as a Software Developer. During their time there, they contributed to projects involving SDN automation, DNS request routing, and real-time monitoring systems.

Before that, they were a Distinguished Member Technical Staff at Motorola from August 2004 to May 2013. Their responsibilities included working on networked video for Motorola's DVR set tops, implementing UPNP network device discovery, and developing a recording schedule conflict resolution system.

From 2002 to 2004, Bill was the Owner of Wil-Co Software, Inc, where they focused on full-stack development of a Business Activity Monitoring application. Prior to that, they served as the CTO at AP Engines from March 1999 to April 2002, leading a team in the successful deployment of a fault-tolerant Billing Mediation product.

Bill's earlier experience includes roles as a Consulting Software Engineer at Fujitsu-Nexion, Principal Software Engineer at WinData, Senior Principal Software Engineer at Racal InterLan, and Principal Software Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation.

Throughout their career, Bill has demonstrated expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python. Their experience spans areas including security intelligence, software development, networking, and real-time operating systems.

Bill Willcox attended Boston University from 1980 to 1984, where they pursued a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science.
