Patrick Ehlen

Patrick Ehlen has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. Patrick started their career at Goldman Sachs as a Technical Specialist in 1998. Patrick then worked as a Usability Intern at Dragon Systems in 1999. After that, they became a Research Intern at Voice Enabled Services Research Laboratory, AT&T Research in 2001. Patrick also worked as a Research Assistant at the Psycholinguistics Laboratory, New School University from 2001 to 2003.

In 2002, Ehlen returned to Voice Enabled Services Research Laboratory, AT&T Research as an Interface Development / Evaluation Consultant until 2005. Following that, they joined Stanford University as a Research Associate from 2005 to 2008.

Ehlen then moved to AT&T in 2008 and held the positions of Research Scientist until 2010 and Principal Member of Technical Staff from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, they became Head of Deep Learning at Loop AI Group Cognitive Computing. Patrick later served as Chief Scientist at the same company until 2020. In 2020, Ehlen joined Uniphore as the Vice President of Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, they served as a Board of Advisors member for DIGILITY Conference & Expo from 2018 to 2019.

Patrick Ehlen received their high school diploma from Fairfield College Preparatory School in 1987. Patrick then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1987 to 1992. After completing their undergraduate studies, they attended The New School from 1995 to 2005, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology.
