Greg Forsyth has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the IT industry. Greg began their career as a Detailer at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK from March 2010 to June 2012. Greg then worked at CSC as a Senior Service Desk Analyst from September 2012 to December 2013, where they provided 2nd line remote support and staff training. Greg joined Markerstudy Insurance as a Service Desk Analyst from January 2014 to August 2014, supporting internal users across different industries and gaining experience with ticket management solutions. Greg then moved to M-Powered as a Senior Network Operations Center Analyst from August 2014 to June 2015, where they implemented a high-class Network Operations Centre and managed daily checks, incident management, and system maintenance. Greg continued their tenure at M-Powered as an Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer from June 2015 to January 2020, configuring and maintaining monitoring tools for diverse monitoring requirements. Greg joined Proact IT UK as a Monitoring and Configuration Technical Team Lead from January 2020 to February 2021. Currently, Greg works at Loop1, where they have held multiple positions. Greg started as a Technical Account Manager from February 2021 to October 2021, focusing on platform design, architecture, and optimizing SolarWinds environments for clients. Greg then became a Solutions Architect from October 2021 to April 2022, where they provided technical pre-sales support, ran demos, and scoped product and professional services requirements. Currently, Greg holds the position of Principal Solutions Strategist at Loop1 from May 2022, where they engage in technical sales motions, expands observability strategy, represents SolarWinds and Loop1 at events, and implements marketing initiatives such as a podcast series.

Greg Forsyth attended Sheffield Hallam University from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a CCNA degree in System, Networking, and LAN/WAN Management/Manager. Before that, from 2001 to 2008, they studied at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe, specializing in Business/Managerial Economics. Greg has also earned several additional certifications, including Practical Observability from O11y Academy and various sales and technical certifications related to SolarWinds products.
