Michael Otto

Michael Otto is a partner at Loopstra Nixon LLP, focusing on corporate law in Toronto. Licensed in both Canada and the US, their practice centers on transactional legal work, including business purchases, management buy-outs, and corporate reorganizations. As a member of the cross-border group, they work with a diverse range of clients while also advising on various legal matters such as commercial contracts and regulatory issues. Prior to their current role, Michael served as a commissioned officer in the Canadian Forces Cadet Instructors Cadre and gained experience at prestigious firms including Baker McKenzie and the Court of Quebec. They hold a BCL/LLB from McGill University, where they also earned a BA in Political Science with first-class honours.
