John J. Lopez

Mr. Lopez founded Lopez Engineering, Inc. in 1994. After attending the University of Notre Dame, he obtained his A.B. and B.S.E.E. He received his M.S.E.E. within the Electric Utility Management Program from New Mexico State University. Mr. Lopez has over 30 years of experience serving as a project manager and an electrical engineer with utilities and private practices. He is also a registered Mechanical Engineer and Fire Protection Engineer in the State of New Mexico.

He has successfully designed and consulted on numerous projects consisting of Building Retrofit Design, New Buildings, Electrical Distribution Systems, Standby Generation, Cogeneration, Photovoltaics, Site and Street Lighting, Fire Alarm Systems, Security Systems, and other special systems. In addition, Mr. Lopez has conducted a range of studies, analysis, evaluations, and assessments including energy, power systems, feasibility, economics, and commissioning.
