Michael Olson

Michael Olson is a venture partner at Deepwater Asset Management, overseeing venture investment research and fund management since April 2023. Prior to this role, Olson served as the Chief Financial Officer at PowerUp Acquisition Corp., managing a technology-focused SPAC with a value of $287 million from pre-IPO to acquisition from March 2021 to August 2023. From March 2020 to April 2023, Olson was the CFO of Version1 & Minnesota RØKKR, a multi-property esports organization. Olson's career began at Piper Sandler, where from July 2001 to March 2020, Olson worked as a managing director and senior research analyst focusing on technology, covering numerous leading companies in the internet, software, and video game sectors. Olson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Investments, and Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
