Balls & Giggles was founded in October 2010 to serve women not working full time - either due to maternity leave, shift work, child minding duties or working for themselves - to participate in a social sporting activity where they can meet new people, relax and do some fun physical exercise with their friends. Our first leagues were held outdoors in Waverly Park in Bondi on Wednesday mornings, with a child minding tent serving as a creche! 

In 2012 we re-branded, landing on Love Netball as a more inclusive club identity - and then expanded our offering to include a social evening league, primary school girls training and school holiday camps. It was in this year that we also moved to an indoor location, in the Margaret Whitlam Sports Arena, also in Waverly Park.

In 2013, further expansion brings a new partnership Saunders Consulting - with a view on developing talent pathways for the youth in the Waverley/Woollhara Council areas. 

In 2014, Love Netball has founded 'Bondi Phoenix Netball Club', to participate in the Randwick Netball Association competition. Teams are aged 8 to 12 years.  Bondi Phoenix sends 2 teams to NetFest on the Gold Coast.
