We are young family with 2 small children and we are based just North of Byron Bay in the Northern Rivers.

Our business idea started when during her pregnancy Co-Founder Michelle, was diagnosed with gestational diabetes.

Being thin and healthy in appearance, this came as a huge shock to us as we had always associated this medical issue with an unhealthy lifestyle.

During the pregnancy Michelle was checking her blood sugar levels before and after meals to ensure our baby was not swimming in glucose which would lead to significant weight gain.

We researched the subject of what actually goes into our foods and became obsessed about the sugar levels in our everyday meals and the unrecognised components that have no business being in our food.

 

Our Daughters Coeliac Disease changed everything…

 

The obsession for ingredients  has now become a passion. In September 2018 our 3 year old daughter Alyssia was diagnosed with Coeliac disease. An autoimmune disease that primarily damages the bodies small intestine, as reaction to the consumption of Gluten that is derived from Wheat, Barley, Rye or Oats.

Since this discovery our lives have changed, though our daughter we experience daily, the difficulties faced by people suffering with Autoimmune disease. Having searched and not found a retailer dedicated to Autoimmune sufferers in Australia, Love Your Health is focused on being one.

Offering 8000 products we have dedicated our family business to not only become a one stop shop for all things health. But also to help those suffering and in need of support to combat their symptoms that are caused by one of more 100 Autoimmune diseases we are aware of.

We will bring you regular articles via our Blog and team up with various health professionals in the Autoimmune space who our customer will be able to engage with.
